Large-scale Moscow's Attacks Eliminate Power Across Ukraine's Capital

Energy infrastructure targeted in Ukraine
The country's energy systems have faced escalating strikes in recent weeks

Throughout the evening, Moscow's aerial assaults have led to electricity outages in multiple districts of Ukraine's capital, the Ukrainian capital.

Several individuals were injured while inhabitants in eastern neighborhoods were experienced blackouts and encountered problems to water systems, according to local authorities.

Simultaneously, a minor was fatally injured in a separate aerial attack in the Zaporizhzhia area in the southeastern part, based on information from regional authorities.

Moscow has increased strikes on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "real steps" from international partners to increase pressure on Russia.

"What's needed is not superficial actions but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in delivering air defence systems and applying restrictions," was stated in a social media post.

Authorities reported that 450 drones and several dozen missiles targeted Ukraine's energy infrastructure, describing such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "everything that sustains normal life" as temperatures become colder.

The energy minister said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and maintenance teams were striving to fix the damage.

A barrage of missiles struck electrical systems and apartment buildings in Kyiv.

Several of the people injured in the attacks on the capital have been taken to hospital, according to municipal representatives.

Local officials said the urban area experienced intense attacks throughout the evening. A minor was killed and three other people were hurt.

The attacks follow nights of bombing campaigns in the region, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.

The whole nation is on alert for advanced weapon attacks, which are tougher to spot.

Authorities told reporters that Moscow was deliberately attempting to destroy the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated utility staff and authorities were bracing for further attacks.
